As New York's newest grand old hotel, the Carlton stands between the Murray Hill and Gramercy Park neighborhoods, where tree lined streets make guests feel they're staying at a house rather than the crowded center of Midtown Manhattan. Next to the existing building, workers are constructing a building that will include a two story atrium lobby with a grand waterfall, European style health club and spa. They expect to complete this phase by the second quarter of 2005, at which time a four star restaurant, bar and 24 hour room service will become available for guests. Complete with attractive, eclectic décor, guestrooms feature mahogany furnishings, Frette linens, fabrics by Scalamandre, safes, work desks, 27 inch stereo/cable TVs, video games, movies, and Gilchrist & Soames English designer toiletries. The Carlton Hotel offers guests the residential feel of Manhattan while simultaneously being near the top attractions and locations. From the Carlton, guests will feel the pulse of the city that never sleeps.
