IMPERIAL HOTEL

The simple Imperial Hotel occupies a white rendered building at the end of a Victorian terrace just over a mile from Manchester city centre, 500 metres' walk from the University. Simple, wooden furniture and light decor with warm coloured fabrics characterise the 27 guestrooms, all of which offer central heating, work desks, bottle water and tea and coffee making facilities, televisions and private bathrooms. Decorated in warm colours, the private lounge bar serves drinks into the evening and the informal restaurant, open for dinner only, offers a selection of English and international dishes accompanied by wine. Guests arriving by car can make use of free on site parking and those who need to make an early start can depend on the wake up service. The hotel is conveniently located close to bus and tram links. The Royal Infirmary and St Mary's Hospital and the Whitworth Art Gallery are about 500 metres away, as are the many Indian restaurant's that make up Manchester's famous Curry Mile. Piccadilly train station is one mile away and Manchester airport is seven miles and about a 20 minute journey form the city centre. There is a frequent train service between the airport and Manchester Piccadilly Station in the city centre, from where the 43A bus runs to the vicinity of the hotel. Taxis are available outside the Arrivals hall of each terminal. Expect the fare to cost around 15 UKP.
