The room is very clean. We had a double room, the size of it is fair and there are space for my toddler to walk about. Plus the bathroom is quite spacious with a bathtub instead of a small standing shower like most hotel in the cities of Europe. There is also a big courtyard with swimming pool. The location is very quiet. The view from our room is the woods which we like. The reservation building is currently undergoing a remodeling. We did not try the food in the restaurant & the breakfast. So, no comment on that. We had breakfast as cafe at Praia das Macas (Beach area) which is about 1km from the hotel. There are a few seafood restaurant there as well. The location of this hotel is great as it is 10 mins drive to Sintra, probably 15-20 mins drive to Cabo da Roca (western most point of Mainland Europe) and 2km away from Azenhas do Mar which is one of the viewpoint. And look out for the hotel on the left of EN375 if you are coming from Colares or on the right if you are coming from Praia das Macas. Will definitely stay here again. The hotel rooms are in buildings away from the reception building. However, it is just a short walk. Not a trouble to us. |

The grounds are nice and the hotel is clean and comfortable. It was good value for the money. The hotel is not loacted in Sintra; it is approximately 10 km away. There is a bus line, however, with a stop just outside the hotel. If you arrive at the hotel before 1 pm, you can use the bus, avoid trying to park in Sintra, and still have time to visit the castle and tour the town. If you arrive in Sintra by train or bus, another hotel may be a better choice unless you plan to stay for more than a day. Prepare to take a taxi (or bus and learn to read a schedule) to this hotel. |
