The hotel is built at the Western edge of the city and it takes 15 min walking to reach the Eastern end. It is ca. 200 m from a beach. You have to cross a street to get there. It is quiet despite entertainment provided around the hotel's pool. It stops at 11 PM. (BTW, a map at Venere.com site is horrible! It's unreadable and it very poorly depicts reality.) The room looked better then on the internet picture. We got a free upgrade to a pool view room. It was quite entertaining sitting on the balcony, sipping wine and listening to fellow guests singing karaoke at the pool. :-) The hotel has an underground parking that is free for guests. It was an important issue for me to have a place to leave a car. The hotel provides breakfasts that are included in hotel's price. These breakfasts are excellent! The cuisine is international, but with a Portuguese touch. Self-service and there are many choices. The hotel staff was very friendly and willing to give suggestions, what to visit in the city and vicinity. Also before our journey the staff promptly answered my emails, what really surprised me. I highly recommend the hotel despite our room wasn’t absolutely spotless. A maid must have had a bad day. :-) A good value for your deteriorating dollars.

The property itself was good and well located. Unfortuantely the service is not up to a four stars hotel. The Front Desk personnal was unprofessional and unpolite. We have a very bad experience with our reservation as they overbooked and wanted to send us to a far away hotel. The told us that they had priority for other guests to come as they booked better rooms type than us. That other guests to come have children and we do not. The truth of the matter is that they by mistake overbooked and decided to put back the reservations with the minimum rate. Imagine our shock when we flew to Portugal and when getting to the hotel you are tried to´be sent away. We were so angry and did manage to stay after a long discussion with the manager but that aspect ruined the holiday. The hotel did not even try to recover for the mistake made.

Die Lage des Hotels ist ausgezeichnet. Es sind in etwa 200m bis zum Strand, welcher westseitig Sandsteinfelsen aufweist und ostseitig langezogen und breit ist - sehr schöner Strand. Das Hotel ist (zumindest in der Vorsaison) sauber geführt und ruhig. Wir hatten lediglich beim einchecken leichte Probleme. Das Zimmer konnte erst anstatt um 14:00 um 17:00 Uhr bezogen werden. Die Hotelgäste waren vorwiegend ältere Paare.

During low season, Nautico is excellent value for money. Breakfasts are very good and plentiful. Lots of variety and well presented. I only have 2 negative comments. The light fixtures in our bathroom were too close to shower making for a potentially dangerous situation. The second related to the third party internet connection offered. It was expensive by Portugal standards and not very speedy. Apart from that this is an excellent place to stay.

I got 4* room for price of 2*. I am very satisfied with this stay. Excellent beach near the hotel.

The hotel was difficult to find. It is a large building and our room was quite a hike from reception and the restaurant. Food was very good, with a well stocked breakfast buffet.

El mapa y las indicaciones para llegar son muy deficientes y ni siquiera las personas del lugar saben como se llaman las calles.Es un sitio de nuevas construcciones y es muy dificil que la gente colabore para llegar al lugar. Además al hotel le falta un anuncio de dimenciones adecuadas, no el recuadro pegado a la pared de la entrada que tiene. Por lo demas esta muy bien,y sobretodo le servicio es muy cordial.
