the exclusivity compensated for other shortfalls, the staff were friendly. the area was very nice.

the lack of communication via e-mail and later at my expense by telephone was appalling.all the arrangements for my mothers 80th birhday (the reason for our visit) had to be made upon our arrival, and when we arrived no one seemed to know we were coming,we were greeted by the gardener,he was very friendly but there was confusion. at this point i very nearly went elsewhere.

Nice surroundings and on the busline.

Very steep stairs to go to our room. Our key did not open the door from outside as we were told. Weekend breakfast starts late so we did not get to have any. Street address not in our GPS.

Wonderful room with big windows on two sides overlooking the garden. Rooms cleaned and made up every day, bathtub in the room. Robes and shower caps to use.

Just now they are renovating the cafe so there was no restaurant but they said it should be finished in three months

The staff was very nice, but overworked. The food was very good.

The carpets were filthy, the place smelled, and the bed linnens were stained.

Actually, the internet was available in my room, other othels try to exploit fees for connecting to the internet, so it was a great plus

Well, having stayed in other hotels in holland, I think it's average, I mean in other countries you can get much more for the same price, in general the hotel did not look very new, also, I don't like floor carpet, but it's very common

The relaxed friendly atmosphere. Also, the proximity to other locations being close made it a wonderful place to bicycle to and from.

The night staff was a bit less informed about how to route calls to the rooms. The internet access was too week from my room and I had to do all internet access from the lobby.

1. De vloerbedekking van de kamer was smerig (veel vlekken, e.d.)
2. Het bed kraakte bij elke beweging en was gammel. (het beddegoed was proper en schoon)
3. De wastafel eigenlijk een WC-fontein, dus niet geschikt voor dit doel
4. Hoewel het hotel rookvrij heet te zijn, stonk het er op de gangen naar rook.
5. De aangekondigde brasserie serveerde geen maaltijden maar slechts een tosti of een ui
