This privately owned 4-star superior hotel by a forest park and sports area is centrally located in the Rhine and Ruhr area, within easy reach of the local attractions.

The Düsseldorf exhibition centre is 25 km away, Essen is 12 km away and Cologne 80 km. Take advantage of the entertainment possibilities in the area such as Movie Park Germany (14 km), Centro - Germany’s largest shopping and leisure centre (3 km), and Sealife - Germany’s largest freshwater and salt-water aquarium (3 km). Take in a show like the Blue Man Group in Oberhausen or musical fans can treat themselves to Mama Mia in Essen or Starlight Express in Bochum.

In addition to its well-appointed rooms, the hotel offers an excellent à la carte restaurant with fine cuisine, a pub serving regional beer specialities and a relaxing hotel bar. TV in the toilet

I certainly do not think its comparable to a proper 4 star hotel.

Nice area away from the center of the city, but close enough to visit the shopping area, 1.6 miles or 3 km. By taxi it was 12 Euro, but there's free parking at the shopping area, so drive yourself and save the extra money. Breakfast was 12E and worth it, lots of choices for both Americans and Germans.

The food and service at the pub was excellent! Close to Movie Park and
Center-O. For low-income vacation it is ok.

The woman at the front desk was rude, short, and provided as little
help as possible. The shuttle to Center-O didn't run and they didn't
provide any other means to get there. The solarium was a joke and the
tanning booth smelled of urine. The furniture in the rooms were
extremely dated. We got towels smelling of smoke. The neighborhood was
horrible - nothing around.

Parking at the back of the hotel. Nice and clean bathroom.

The double room is very, very small. The old-fashioned windows open in such way you can't use the blinds - so you have to decide, air or light. Noise was incredible, the bus stop directly under the window. Extremely hot room, no sleep at all. Small beds. Nothing interesting in the street of the hotel. Breakfast not included in the room price. Bad, bad, bad experience.

De kamer zag er mooi uit, het personeel was vriendelijk en het eten was erg goed. Heel handig was de gratis shuttle naar Movie Park.

Ik vond het een beetje te warm in de kamer. De airco vond ik niet koud genoeg, dus we hebben uiteindelijk maar de balkondeur opgedaan 's nachts.
