The first look at building is missleading. The exterior look and stairs are terrible, but the room and service areas are excellent. The breakfast is very good. Location is also very good.

Very good price/quality ratio. Single room was very small, in particular the bathroom, but very clean and quiet. Breakfast is very good, good choice, but available from 8:00 AM only, so I could not have it before I left, pity. The location is not bad, 1 stop from Savigny Platz in Charlottenburg. Obviously Charlottenburg is not right in the center, that is why it is cheaper, but it is well deserved by public transports which are very efficient in Berlin. Overall I would recommand this hotel because of the price and the easy access to it.
USA, Jun 2008
The hotel is on a street like 2nd Ave in New York. It is noisy. Entrance to rooms is the same as to apartments, and looks a little dicey. About 15 minute walk from Zoo station; restaurants and Ku'damm near by. Breakfast is nice, and restaurant is Italian in the evening. Considering it is Berlin, ok value for what you get. Also, the bus from Zoo is M49, not 149 as printed from Venere.

A family of 3 stayed in a 3 persons room. Ample space. We stayed for 3 nights, during a heatwave. Ours room had windows facing a side street and noise from the pub across the street, was annoying. This shouldn't be a problem the rest of the year.

Very spacious, quiet and every day cleaned room. Big breakfast with buffet for beginning a good day. There isn't the lift. The people of the staff speak english and german. In 5 minutes you can reach U-bahn and S-bahn to the centre.

Would have preferred to have been nearer City Centre. As there were three of us extra keys would have been useful (but we did not ask). Lighting in room poor.

Magnífica habitación, amplia, luminosa, con cierto sabor berlinés y muy limpia. A 5min la estación de metro de modo que en 15min estás en el centro.

We were a group of 10 women, ages ranging from 40 to 60, visiting Berlin for the first time for a 50th birthday. For the cheap B&B price we didn't know what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised and it was exceptional value for money. We were arriving on a late flight, and, even though reception usually closed at 10pm, staff waited for our late arrival - we'd rung them a few days in advance as advised. The bathrooms and bedding were spotless, rooms tidied and clean towels every day. Staff really friendly and helpful. Good selection for continental breakfast. Location was excellent for the S-bahn, 2 mins walk, and U-bahn, 5 mins walk. Only downside was that the location after dark felt a little too quiet, but as we were always in groups this wasn't an issue for us. Convenient supermarkets and shops nearby for water, fruit etc, a nice cocktail bar on the next corner, and the House of 100 beers was within 10 mins walking distance! Happy days. Definitely recommend the all day travel ticket for 5 euros, covers tram, bus and U/S-bahn, it can't be beaten for value and convenience, it even covered our 45 min travel back to Schofeld airport - exceptional value (40 euros by taxi). If you are looking for the bustling nightlife I think you have to head for the East side of the city - lots of good restaurants and pubs on the K'damm, but not bustling. We travelled at the end of September so it could be busier in the Summer months. Can't wait to go back to Berlin and would definitely recommend the Hotel Cityblick, but at such a cheap price please don't expect to get a mini bar, 24 hour room service, concierge etc, and ps. there's no lift.

Nice people. The restaurant room is simply wonderful, very nicely decorated. The surrounding suffers from the presence of some prostitution, which is not the fault of Cityblick of course. However, there is absolutely no aggressiveness in the vicinity, so that it makes no problem to come back to the hotel at any time late at night.

I get a verry smal room but it was ok for one night i stay. The price include a great breakfast. The bus from Tegel (109) stops near the hotel. I recommend the hotel to anyone, the relationship price/quality is excellent.

No Internet access, at least not in some rooms. Otherwise fine.

The hotel needs to put up heavier curtains in the front rooms that can block the extremely bright street lights! It was difficult to sleep with that much light in the room, I ended up hanging a bedspread in the windows.

It was ok. People perhaps not too nice as in other places, but it seems to be a characteristic of Berlin people. The hotel was good, great breakfast, big and well-equipped room, nicely decorated. Only thing to take into account: there's no elevator.

I've been there just for 2 nights, but it was extraordinary. The hotel was quite perfect, at that price I challange anyone to find something better; just few minutes by walk from the metro station, in a central area, even not to noisy (my room was on the kantstrasse side).

I thought the hotel was adequate for the money I paid. I ask for a room facing the back, which turned out to be very quiet. The bathroom was very clean and sparkling white. The window coverings and beadspread was modern and matching. All in all it was comfortable. The breakfast had a very large selection and was very good. The breakfast room becomes a restaurant at night and serves Italian meals that are tasty and well priced. The only negative I found: there was no lift and it was not easy with a large suitcase to get to the second floor. But the person at the reception was very willing to help carry it up. The location of the hotel is not well explained. Take the bus #109 ( 2.10 Euro)from the airport to Kant Strasse near Stuttgarter Platz. The bus goes along Kaiser Friedrich Strasse and crosses Kant Strasse. Get off near the Aldi at the corner. The closest U-Bahn is Wilmersdorfer Strasse.

Great Breakfast. The room could use some carpet and better windows to keep out more of the street noise. It was a good hotel for price and location but I will probably try something different next time.

We were a family of three. The rooms were great and especially the bathrooms were clean and recently renevated. Didn't have any problems with checking in or out. The breakfast was very satisfying and I must add that the hotel is situated in a beautiful part of the city. All transportation easy to use. We loved the soft comfortable duvet! Will recommend the hotel to anyone for a inexpensive and comfortable stay.

This hotel is in a good location in Charlottenburg: close proximity to the U-bahn and S-bahn.It is excellent value for money. The breakfast is superb for what you are paying. Reception is not open after 10pm so you must let them know if you'll be arriving later and they will come and meet you to let you in. They do not take visa so be prepared(they accept EC card). My only gripe was that the bed was very old with no support and I also was extremely cold until the heater directly next to the bed eventually came on and was very hot!

Only problems were no air-conditioning, and they should accept more major credit cards.
